Portraits in Form

Experimented with form to create a series of digital portraits that combine phot-realistic detail with stylized organic forms to reinterpreet the human face through illustration.

This illustration project explored the balance between realism and abstraction by constructing highly detailed portraits from organic shapes. Careful concern was given to colour, proportion and tonal varaiation to preserve likeness while introducing a distinct visual language through the forms. The final pieces demonsrate an experimental approach to composition and shape-based portraiture.
